A big morale boost for 8Bet Trade Fair Cup 2025/26 champions, Nsingizini Hotspurs!

At least that’s how the club’s President Derrick Shiba sees it.

‘Insingizi Yezulu’ can certainly build and improve in confidence as they prepare to take on Zimbabwe’s Simba Bhora on September 21, 2025 in Botswana, then in Eswatini a week later.

After winning the second edition of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup on Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre, Manzini, Shiba has said it was a good sign they were on course in as far as achieving their goals,

while mentioning the fact that the title came just in good time as they prepared for their first-ever TotalEnergies CAF Champions League participation. Nsingizini beat Green Mamba 1-0, via a free kick goal by new signing Quality Dlamini.

“I am happy with the progress of the team. We are still in the right direction in terms of achieving our goals, which is winning three competitions.

Nsingizini Hotspurs president Derrick Shiba celebrating.

“This is a morale booster for the team ahead of our CAF assignment. We want to do better than we did last year in the Confederation Cup, and we will give our best shot,” he said.

The reigning MTN Premier League champions kick-started their continental journey with an away trip in Francistown, Botswana against Simba Bhora on September 21, 2025, at the Obed Chilume Stadium in Francistown.

The Shiselweni-based team featured in the 2024 CAF Confederation Cup against Stellenbosch FC.

Ingwenyama Cup champions Royal Leopard will represent the country in the continent’s second premier club competition (Confederation Cup) against Namibian side Young Africans.
