Over one-year layoff for Sitsebe Samhlekazi.
This follows the indefinite postponement of the 2025 COSAFA Women’s Champions League due to a lack of a host country.
The annual women’s showpiece will now take place between October /November 2026 at a venue still to be confirmed.
The rescheduled edition will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco.
The top four teams from the continental women’s showpiece will represent the continent in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Brazil.
COSAFA executive director Sue Destombes thanked member associations for their cooperation.

“We appreciate the understanding and continued support of all stakeholders as we work to maintain the high standards of Women’s Football within our region,” she said.
Sitsebe coach Bongani Makhukhula lamented the news when reached for comment.
“It’s unfortunate that the tournament has been postponed when we have started our preparations.
However, this will give the players an opportunity to focus on the national women’s league with their respective clubs before we resume our preparations,” he said.
Sitsebe last compete in the 2025 African Women cup of nations qualifiers earlier this year.
